County Line Press is an independent press located in Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands. We aim, through our publication of artists’ books, chapbooks, journals, broadsides, and various ephemera, to elucidate the rural condition. We see the rural space as an increasingly dynamic one–a contested zone of preservation and exploitation. To this end, we refuse to subscribe to a pastoral aesthetic; instead, we seek work that subverts the notion of the picturesque with its honesty and grit.
